The Adorable Mrs Dennis

Tells the story of a talented post WW2 fashion designer and her Greek business partner who created a clothing manufacturing empire, retail and wholesale, from the main street of Toowoomba Queensland.

Morley Grainger has used fabric, buttons, buckles, drawings, wages books, photographs and letters snatched from Ida Dennis’ workroom to retell their story – one of vision, commitment and relentless hard work in nine commemorative art works.
