With Papua New Guinea, Africa and Australia in the rear-view mirror, and with her mother leading the way, Morley travels to Mexico for formal educational enrichment, crafting inspiration and cultural immersion.

Things look up, with a new love interest (or two!), specialized field-work, and a fascinating and rewarding government job, all leading to a coveted qualification.

Along the way there’s even a close encounter with Spanish singer, Julio Iglesias, as well as the usual pockets of corruption, no-go parts of town, and a traditional healer.

But, there’s still underlying family tension, and, after returning to Australia, the realization that she left her heart in Latin America.

But there’s no going back.
