Men At Work

This exhibition grew out
of a period of intense focus on the creation of In Praise of Australian
Women.
To restore equilibrium, my creative efforts were directed to the activities
of Australian men - Timber-getters, Fettlers and Drovers.
I enjoyed the freedom and challenges of a minimalist approach and used recycled, grey woollen blankets on hessian bags - in keeping with the wagga rug tradition of Australian bush men working hard and living rough.
